Welcome to the Violence Prevention Labrador website. "Violence Prevention Labrador" (VPL) is the new name for the organization formerly known as Labradorians For Peaceful Communities.
Violence Prevention Labrador is a Pan-Labrador organization whose Board includes volunteers from like-minded organizations and community partners from all over Labrador. Violence Prevention Labrador supports and strengthens the principal of unity in diversity as a guide to provide positive leadership to end violence and promote community capacity building in Labrador communities.
The purpose of this website is to provide resources and information for victims of violence, but also to be used as a tool for information and resources for service providers within Labrador.

An Integrated Approach
Violence Prevention Labrador encourages an integrated approach to violence prevention which will lead to early identification of needs, improved communication between service providers and service recipients, greater public awareness and accountability, opportunities for information sharing on best practices and overall improved efficiencies in service delivery.
