Conference Backgrounder
Violence Prevention Labrador, the Rural Secretariat and LG Health are inviting you to participate in our fall conference "Innovation and Collaboration: Learning and Changing Together".
Having good social health in community's means recognizing the important role that policies, programs, and services such as social housing, education, health, income security and social services play. But we also acknowledge that a broad range of social, economic and physical environment factors interact and contribute to overall health.
It has been identified throughout the various regions that there is often times overlap or gaps in services, because of lack of communication and ability for partnering. Often times there is disconnect between government, development agencies and community.
Building Healthy, Sustainable and Resilient Labrador communities involves interagency and cross sector approaches to address issues and needs of communities.
We aim to engage individuals from the social and economic sectors as well as local governments and community.
Some of the questions we hope to answer include;
What role do we all play in creating Healthy, Resilient and Sustainable Labrador Communities? How can we work more effectively together? How will we continue to build upon our strengths and continue building resiliency and community capacity?
See our Conference Agenda.
