Community Outreach Grants
Community Outreach Grants
Violence Prevention Labrador (VPL) has small funding grants available for community projects of up to $1000.00. This money will be available to organizations in Labrador to implement anti-violence/ Violence Prevention activities in their local areas.

The proposed activities should include one (or more) of these vulnerable populations: youth, older adults, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Aboriginal women and children, and others who are victims of violence based on their ethnicity, disabilities, or economic status.

The proposed activities must be clearly defined, and fit within at least one of the key objectives of the Provincial Violence Prevention Initiative:

  • Public Awareness and attitudinal change regarding violence.
  • Activities that include any of the vulnerable populations; women, children and youth, Aboriginal women and children, seniors, persons with disabilities and others who are victims of violence because of ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic status
  • Education and Training

Quarterly Review Periods: We now offer the Community Outreach Funding year round accepting applications for processing on July 15th, October 15th, January 15th, and April 15th of each year. All applications will be reviewed within 7 days of each of these dates.

For more information contact Petrina Beals, coordinator@vplabrador.ca or 709-899-3231.
